Marriott in Uniondale. Major property located next to Nassau Coliseum. Easy on and off from Meadowbrook Parkway which takes you right to Jones Beach. Other non-chain choices are Diplomat Motor Inn in Rockville Centre and Gateway Motel in Merrick. Both are on Sunrise Highway. Also, I think there is a Holiday Inn in Rockville Centre on Sunrise Highway.
