When flying Delta if you book a flight with less than 24 hours between when you book flight and when you take the flight, the holder of the credit card is supposed to pick up the ticket, or at least be available at the ticket counter. I have never seen Delta enforce this, but if you make a reservation over the phone they still warn you.
After first 24 hours there is no problem. It was explained to me that this was to protect Delta from someone using a stolen card before Delta could know it was stolen when they authenticated the credit card number.
I have, however, made reservations within a 24 hour time period and been clear on the other side of the country and the passenger had no problem.
I guess you could try to call TA on their toll-free and ask them. I rarely have much success with that number, but if you are truly worried you might want to at least try.
