No worries. I already have a 19" actually, just measured it. However, it's about 10 years old I think, so I was thinking of getting a new one. Problem is the probability of getting my carry-on checked, I'm not sure if my current carry-on can handle such (possible) abuse.

Another thing I didn't focus enough on during my late night postings is the tiny "AMS" under your name. I am not familiar with local options/prices there but obviously consider the total cost to you when comparing various options.
Yeah, there seems to be a broader spectrum of bags in the US.. However, I just found out that Amazon ships the TravelPro T-Pro Xtreme 19" for a reasonable $140 (including tax) to The Netherlands. What's your opinion on this roller? The bag seems to be made with nylon, which is what you recommended

I am no whiz on international currency fluctuation, but European currencies are supposed to be strong against $ these days, right? If so, that should help you. If not, we in the US should be ordering our bags from Europe.
I am .

The US seems to hover at about $1.40 for each Euro, which is pretty good (has been much better for us Europeans though, at $1.60)

Keep us informed. Good luck.
Will do. Thanks.
