Transit through PVG? Forgeddiboutit

I'm on my way to SIN on a very last minute itinerary (that's what miles are for!) where I've been routed SFO-PVG-SIN-KIX-SFO.

I've never transited through PVG internationally and doubt I ever will again. First off, we were delayed on the plane as the authorities scanned each and every passenger for a fever. Apparently, they caught a few which may have explained why were were delayed for close to 40 minutes. No matter, something the PRC has to do right?

Anyway, I get off the plane and see lots of signs for domestic transfer. No international. Then I'm told by a gent that flies a lot that for int'l transfer, you have to go through passport control, collect your baggage, then go up stairs and do the reverse. Thankfully, I have a Tourist Visa that's still valid so no problems this end.

I guess PVG doesn't get a lot of int'l transfers but REALLY....! At least I made it to the FM lounge and the wi-fi works. ^

Now the outbound flight to SIN has been delayed for "cleaning". Another 40 minute delay. Argh!

Urm, please merge this with the master PRC delay/pig flu thread! Thx
