Hampton Reservation problem
I've only recently booked Hamptons on-line. On two of the 3 occasions (in last month), I have chosen "non-smoking," (and I have print-outs to show this). On the confirmation page, it has come back asd "Confirmed" Smoking." The first time, I did not notice this, but they were able to change the room upon check-in (but I didn;t het the "Touch"). Second time, called the hotel, was told they would try to change, but couldn't promise it. As it happened, on check-in, they did have NS, and a bag for me.
So, when booking on-line, read your confirmation statement!!
Is this a glitch? Has it happened to anyone else?? I would like to just make the reservation, and be done with it. It does irk me that I have to put this extra effort into their reservation system.
