While I completely agree that the condition of many 757s is unacceptable, I hope you do realize that US provides you with a portable IFE unit on the 757s when they are actually operating transatlantic, just like on the 767s.
Regarding the uniforms, I agree with what everyone else has said here. They give a sloppy image because no crew ever looks completely the same. And I much prefer the 90s uniforms, too.
