For many travellers the food and drinks are not the most important reasons to visit the lounge. In the lounge, we can comfortably work on our laptop and use free wifi access. You don't have to watch your belongings continuously.
Most importantly, the lounge offers an opportunity to withdraw from the stress of the public airport areas so we can read a report or book. €35 is a steep price, but I would still consider it when I have more then 2 spare hours.
