To be honest, any 22" roller is at risk for being rejected as carry-on internationally (and maybe domestically too as airlines get stricter).
It would be safer to go with 18"-20". Briggs & Riley do make both of those sizes.
However, I also think, and I believe Till has voiced similar sentiments in the past, that a carry-on that remains in your care need not be as sturdy as checked luggage. IOW you don't have to pay B & R prices, but can get by just fine with less expensive makes like Delsey, Travel Pro, Pathfinder, and many others. In fact ebags has 19" Travelpro Platinum 5 for $119, a very good deal.
