But if you post the problem in the
Marriott forum you might get a more helpful response on that end of the problem.
Assuming you asked for a deposit back from Marriott within a few hours of making the initial booking, it would be surprising if they wouldn't show some flexibility here. It seems like a reasonable thing to try right away, in any case.
