The location really depends on where you are going- in a taxi you can get very quickly from Puerto Maderos to wherever you want to go- there are also some very good restaurants close by (although admittedly it is not what most people think of as B.A.). The pool is very quite in the mornings- in the evenings/late afternoons it can be quite busy (and full of very pretty tanned people).

By the way- the brunch at the Park Hyatt on Sundays is amazing- book a table on the terrace (weather permitting) and enjoy the live jazz and wonderful food! Plan at least three hours...
