Regarding lounge access, as long as your status is reflected on your BP, you should be able to get in without problems, at least from my limited experience.
I have
occasionally had to show my card, even with *G printed on my BP, although they're usually fine with just seeing the *G on the BP. I have heard that bringing a printout of your mileage summary will be accepted in lieu of a card if you've recently crossed the line, but I've never tried it myself.
