You can all try your luck and just ask them for it now, claiming you need it for some international lounge access. They may or may not help you...but doesn't hurt to ask!
+1. I qualified for mine in September last year, but wanted it for lounge access for a Christmas trip. By November I still hadn't gotten it, so I called and they sent another. I got it fairly quickly. Then, in January, I got another one.
