British rail or Heathrow Express tickets transferable?

Hi there!

After all the kerfuffle about getting my tickets from London to Leeds and back entirely straightened out, the whole trip ended up getting cancelled - long story involving a rather flaky friend

In any event, I am left with a ticket from London to Leeds on the afternoon of the 19th and coming back the morning of the 23rd, also with a Heathrow Express ticket valid anytime on the 19th and with a return anytime within 30 days. All are 1st class and all are nonrefundable. I was hoping to give them away so that at least someone can get some use out of them, but wondering if this is possible at all?

I assume they check the name on the British Rail tickets and it seems like my credit card would be needed to claim them anyway, so I suppose I can't give those awat, but do they really verify the name on the Heathrow Express or just check that you have a valid ticket? My name does show up on the ticket, and it was bought under the US09 promotion that gives the free 1st class upgrade, if that matters.
