Sure it's workable. I've spent as little as six minutes between walking off the aircraft and walking onto the people mover. With checked bags. I've also spent as much as 45 without checked bags.
It's possible that you won't make it - nobody can guarantee that you will - and you shouldn't expect time to dawdle. But you should be fine.
