As you have ample time, there a myriad of better places than the Sheraton Airport Hotel to spend the night.

The Kempinski Hotel Gravenbruch is quite a good choice, although their WiFi runs @ € 6 / h even for guests (that was in March 2009), which I consider a rip-off. They provide a nice shuttle.

Real nice is the Schlosshotel Kronberg, about 20km from the airport, which is just around € 160 midweek + the cab fare to & from the hotel (€ 35 incl tip oneway). BTW, I'd go through www.hrs.de to book German hotels.

Compared to the Schlosshotel Kronberg / Kempinski Gravenbroich, the Sheraton is - quite correctly - a dump.
