I know there is probably already a thread on this, but either I am stupid or the FlyerTalk search engine is not quite the best (I love FT, but I have never been that thrilled w/ the search engine). Anyways, I just booked a flight home BUD via FRA in F on miles (ANA search engine is the BEST! I managed to book NZ LAX-LHR J, OS LHR-VIE C, LH BUD-FRA C, LH FRA-ORD F, UA ORD-LAX F.) for August but since my flight from FRA leaves at 10:35 AM I figured it would be better to leave BUD the night before, stay at an FRA hotel, and leave from FRA in the morning since I am not a morning person and I can't really see myself having any reason to go to Frankfurt any time in the near future so I figured this would be a good way to get into the FCT.

ANYWAYS, I was wondering how difficult it is to get from the Sheraton Frankfurt to the FCT. I know it's connected to T1, but I can't tell how easy it would be to just walk from the Sheraton to the FCT. I fear that if I check in at T1 they will direct me to a First Class Lounge instead of the FCT. Also, the Sheraton is exorbitantly expensive, and there seem to be hotels of similar quality for a lot less a shuttle's ride away from the airport. I like the ease of access to the Sheraton for my arrival from BUD, but I can't really justify staying at the Sheraton if doing so would actually make getting to the FCT harder rather than easier. I pored over the terminal maps, but I can't quite place the Sheraton in relation to the FCT, so if any seasoned FRA traveler could help me out and let me know if getting from the Sheraton to the FCT is more trouble than its worth I would greatly appreciate it.
