Variation on this issue.

I made a reservation on hertz.com having no idea whatsoever that I was booking a prepaid rate. I just noticed a charge for this rental on my credit card and couldn't figure out what it was for. Only when I went back and looked at the language hidden deep in the T's & C's did I notice that it was prepaid. I need to cancel it - and expected from the beginning that I might need to, so I never would have booked a prepaid rate (didn't even know they offered them).

I am a PC member who books cars on hertz.com regularly - how do they not make any differentiation between these and regular rates except in the T's & C's - unacceptable in my mind. Anyone have luck in canceling these without the fee? I plan to call tomorrow when the office is back open, but I'll be steamed if I'm penalized.
