I have booked a stay at the HIX Barcelona City. I booked over the official website and purchased a package called the Business Package, which included things like parking, internet and a late check-out and early check-in.
I would like to know if this is a qualifying rate and if I will get points, or if it is a qualifying night and will count towards my "Stay X, Get X" or if it will not qualify at all.
Looking in the IHG T&C's the only thing I have found is that package rates are not qualifying. However, I am not sure if this means corporate package rates or something like that. I am paying extra for these services.
Also, most hotels offer packages which include breakfast and I know they qualify for points, so I am confused.
Any help would be appreciated.
If your rate was more than the best flexible rate you can be sure it's qualifying. Also most discounted rates qualify too. I've booked many packages and all are qualifying.
As for the 2 for 1 rate, in all my cases of using this rate I've been credited for 2 nights, but other people have only been credited for 1. Sometimes by mistake it'll appear as a non-qualifying stay (0 nights), in this instance you should file a missing points claim as you're definitely entitled to at least one night.
