There must be sudden availability. I was just able to book the ALON at the HHV this past week after being turned down several times. When I started the process HWV was also not available (for September). It was my disappointment about not being able to secure a Gold upgrade at HHV, as often described in this forum, that had me looking elsewhere. With the amount of recent discussion about the Cancun property, it looked like a good alternative.
