luxury london hotel for elderly parents

I am aware of all the threads on London hotels and have stayed in London many times but I was curious as to your views on the best luxury hotel for my parents who are in their 80s and flying to London next month. I was looking for somewhere that that will take good care of them, was centrally located, and was relatively quiet (they cannot walk very far at one tme). I was thinking of the Marriott on the river, given its views and proximity to some of the major sights across the bridge but then thought that somewhere more towards Covent Garden may be better as far as taking short strolls. I do not have any personal experience with any of the top hotels in this area and am not sure of how someone their age might enjoy it. (I usually stay near Hyde Park). Thanks in advance for any advice. Raven
