Now, for a completely *different* perspective:

I don't like the tenor of fluffy bunny's post any more than the rest of you.

However, I work for a company that is currently struggling with outsourcing much of its customer service function to India (I don't know where Hilton has its CS).

We are experiencing serious customer dissatisfaction (as quanitified by several nuts-and-bolts measures) in part because of accent and clarity issues.

Fluffy bunny's post could be the voice of such a customer, which doesn't necessarily have anything to do with bigotry and may have everything to do with a simple inability to communicate with someone who is thrust into the position of having to conduct reasonably sophisticated conversations in a language that person may not be comfortable with.

Until customer expectations migrate toward understanding (and accepting) someone who doesn't sound like he/she lives in Oklahoma, I hear fluffy bunny loud and clear.
