Thank you for all the feedback you have provided on this forum, we at the Crowne Plaza Kensington have been watching it with interest (and with our eyes too).
We have strived and strutted and other "str" words to create a culture that isn't too stuffy and too corporate, one that evokes a sense of fun lightly sprinkled with a touch of irreverance and then baked at Gas Mark 3. Having read through some of the feedback here has helped us understand how this is perceived, and of course we do take guest complaints very seriously. The perception of not caring as we use different language was not intended, and we will now take a long, hard look at ourselves to see the effect of this language and where we can modify it. So a big thank you to you all, you all deserve sticky buns
I'm most worried about the comments from Delta11 - and would love to know more why are gorgeous staff are a significant problem (please PM me, wouldn't want names bandied about!). I can tell you that it was not a cosmetic refurbishment, we bashed down walls, ripped up floors and made everything shiny and new. And our bed linen has a muchos higher thread count than Holiday Inn!
It's nice to read the positive feedback on here - we do honestly care about people who come through our doors. We are also big enough to take criticism where it is due. I was going to say "big enough and ugly enough", but as we're so gorgeous the "ugly" part would have been a lie
