Just booked a return flight from FRA-CHC via DXB and SYD.....

Have registered with Skywards to receive the bonus miles for flying before June 30th.

Once I get to CHC I will only be 400 miles away from being Silver so was wondering if you register a family member under the family bonus programme do the miles you get (20% of their miles flown) go towards your tier status or just your account total...

I can't see anywhere on online any info about this and with the benefits (priority check in, Dubai business lounge) being so close I would love to be Silver for the flight back home as. Also am making another return flight back to NZ in Jan 2010 so to earn extra miles as Silver would be great!

To my understanding you only have to complete the eligible flights BEOFRE June 30th...not the ENTIRE journey booked (for example....FRA-DXB-SYD-CHC-DXB-FRA) I will be in CHC well before the 30th but not leaving until August.

Hope someone out there can shed some light on this for me....having read lots of posts about Skywards I'm not holding my breath about either question but one can only hope.
