I am such a bad FTer! I just realized I forgot to mention where to go on Sundays!

During the early night, people usually hang out around A Loca club. There are some pretty cheap bars there, but the crowd is usually quite good looking, so that is always an option.

During the night... well, well... you know what they say, save the best for last!

There is a party in Sao Paulo that is only held on Sundays (sometimes during the week, but VERY rare) that is called GAMBIARRA.

The place is hideous! Seriously. But the party was created so artists (specially those working on plays) can hang out - since they pretty much work all weekeend long. And it became very popular among the wealthy and well connected people in Sao Paulo. It is not widely spread around here - and I'm not surprised it was not mentioned before.

It is not oficially gay - but being created by and for artists, you can figure out the rest. Straight and gay people hang out peacefully and the crowd is usually very good looking. And the place is huge and the music is great.

It has been my hotest spot lately. I most certainly recommend it! ^^
