What specific card did you apply and get in April, Citi MC personal or business? The general word is, wait 60+ days for personal cards and 90+ days for business. Regarding canceling the April MC, if it was a personal card, do not cancel before applying for the next personal card. Upon acceptance of the new personal card, you might be asked by Citi to move some credit line from the April card to the new card.

Business card, if you have not applied for a business card before, do so now (this is not related to the personal card applications).

Remember, with Citi, all is YMMV, I have provided general guidelines.
It was a personal MC that I got in April. Thanks for your advice; I will apply for the AX card once the 60 days is up!
