1) Eilte status is based on previous year flying.
2a) RDM can be from *A and partner airline flights, credit cards, partner hotel stays, car rental, compensation ...etc. Only UA BIS flights counts towards lifetime miles. But lifetime miles do not expire.
2b) RDM will expire if there is no activity in your MP account for 18 months.
