The OP did not that he is traveling with his wife, so sharing is not a terrible option, especially for side sleepers.

Here is a question though. How come they can't book a family bedroom? I understand this is on a Viewliner, which I believe don't have the family room, but it sounds like you can't book more than 2 adults on any train in the system. What is the reason for that?
