From everything I've read, ID needs to match exactly, but ignores suffixes.

I'm still trying to figure out how this impacts elite status or mileage credit as it seems to be completely unrelated to this issue.

My state ID has a middle initial and my passport a full middle name. My corporate travel office advised changing id's to be identical and then align it with my FF account. No way I'm going through all that, as this system seems like it's going to cause tremendous delays and eventually be revised. I'll just hope they'll accept my driver's license during international travel to confirm the boarding pass. Domestically I should be all set as my FF account matches my DL.
