Run, do not walk, to book vacation to this location. My wife and I spent 7 days/nights at this resort and we were astounded at the overall quality of our experience. The view is amazing, the villas were outstanding, and the service was excellent.
We used points for this trip and I can't imagine a better way to use them. I have not traveled the Caribbean extensively so I am no expert, but this resort is one we will return to whenever possible.
If you go, take the helicopter from the airport ($80 US per person). It is a 7 minute flight and well worth the expense. If you take a cab you can expect a one hour, or more, ride.
You can explore the rest of the island, (I recommend the falls and the volcano), but you will not feel that you need to leave the resort. The resort has virtually anything you need.
