While doing a very early morning JFK-LAX, I was told by the ID checker that as of August 1, my BP needed to match my ID exactly. I was too tired to discuss this much (not a morning person)...

Is this a JFK thing? Poorly informed employee wrt to secureflight?

I assumed she was alluding to secureflight, however, from the TSA's secureflight faq:


Q. What if my name and I.D. do not exactly match when I arrive at security? Will I be turned away and unable to fly?

A. No. Secure Flight will not impact the process at the security checkpoint in any way.
