We just returned from 11 days at the Highlands Inn in Carmel. A 25th anniversary getaway. We definitely didn't want to leave. Awesome ocean views from our double deck,woodburning fireplace, beautifully landscaped...a perfect, relaxing getaway. Point Lobos Reserve is just a mile or so down the road. A great place with some amazing hiking. I highly recommend it.
The timeshare units at Beaver Creek and Breckenridge are also wonderful. Pinon Pointe in Sedona is gorgeous, I just love the Sedona area, wonderful hiking. We are heading to Coconut Point in Bonita Springs(Naples) in Oct. have heard it is top notch also.
