I have a black, wrinkle-free, washable, mid-calf, straight but relaxed skirt, with an above-the-knee slit that I could wear everyday for a week.

With a red silk twin set it is the perfect travel outfit. With a white cotton tank top and sandals, it is casual enough for a boardwalk along the beach. With a black silk top, pearls and heels, it goes to the opera. With a jacket and white silk shirt, it is a business suit.

It makes a week with one carry-on an easy challenge. Also own a TravelSmith Indispensable Black Travel Dress. Very worthwhile investment.
