It is pleasing to see that JetStar is now able / willing to go into "service recovery" mode quickly -as evidenced by the reports of pax being offered flights back home or that alternate transport down to Oz was being arranged. This starkly differs from the horror stories of stranded pax that were headlined in the past year or more.

Perhaps JetStar now sees the need to get past the public perception of "low cost and no support".
