My question is, which one is the best to choose?

I don't care about MQM miles, since I won't earn Medallion status. I also don't want to pay an annual fee for the first year. It seems like the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express would be a good fit since there is no fee for the first year and you get 20K miles for signup plus a companion certificate. Are there any others that I should be looking at?

Thanks,

Who says you have to choose? Get them all:

Delta Amex: search through FT for the highest current bonus;

Starwood Amex: typically 10,000 bonus points upfront; if you collect another 10,000 points through stays at Starwood hotels or general charges, you can transfer 20,000 points to Delta and receive 25,000 Skymiles;

Amex Membership Rewards: sign-on bonus, periodic bonus offers to transfer points to Delta.

The first year is typically free for all of these cards, so you may want to space out applying for the Starwood and MR cards so you will get the maximum bonuses.

If you just want one card, I agree with others that the large sign-on bonus for the Delta card makes it the best.
