Thank you for your responses. I checked the CO.com site at T-24 and saw that I was assigned 1B, before I checked in. Again, I was surprised I was upgraded with such a full cabin three days out. Also, I am now shown as a customer 'upgraded to first class.'
Same thing happened to me on yesterday's EWR-LIM I got EUAed 5 days out but no seat, and I could not assign online. When I OLCI I was already assigned 1F. Today I was EUAed 3 day out on the LIM-IAH and same thing, but there are 3 assignable seats online. I would rather have a row 1. So I am just going to go the office and see if they can assign me a seat in row 1. We will see.
