Hmm, £450 per person difference between CX Y and J... £225 per person per sector... darn it I'm getting tempted despite the possibility of an aircraft substitution from 747 to regional.
Bear in mind that flying is a bit of a hobby for me, so every time I'm presented with an opportunity to try a new airline and new service I get rather excited

If you have that sort of money to spare, go for it, but for that sort of price difference, it is really not worth it. That sort of money you can get to stay at the four seasons while in HK.
However if you have that sort of money, then go for it.
