Other posts have referred to the Reno Hilton as "Hilton's Hotel from Hell." Sadly, that too was my recent experience. Two weeks ago at check-in the front desk clerk refused my junior suite upgrade request as well as my request for breakfast vouchers. When I showed him my copy of the HHonors program benefits he snidely remarked that he had read it all before and that the Reno Hilton isn't actually a Hilton hotel (the 10 story Hilton signs adorning the hotel must be figments of our collective imagination) but a Park Place Entertainment property. He added that Park Place hotels do not participate in the HHonors program and do not bestow HHonors benefits. Unfortuately my company uses the Reno Hilton for quarterly sales meetings and books rooms for its western states sales force there. Multiple requests for Adam Burke to weigh in on this issue have gone unanswered.
