I am not certain but I thought that the caterer supplied the carts for the particular airlines. When it comes to drink carts, what is being said is that the caterers lacked drink carts. OK, I guess this can happen, but why only to US? Why are there not similar complaints at AA or DL or UA? Sorry that I am so cynical but it is amazing what happens to US. I use COEx plenty and this is not a problem that I have seen on any of the varients of COEx.
And the other airlines are just so perfect!! How about when UA changed catering companies at LAX towards the end of last year?? That was such a total mess that flights (including transcons) were going out with absolutely no catering and that includes no beverages (not even water). So catering issues do occur on other airlines and not just US.
