Yes. Recently WGA fares were available close-in for intra California flights as talked about here. Several months ago we had close-in WGA fares for all the places I regularly fly to from MDW: OMA, MCI and STL. It seems to be when they are really trying to get some business. As best I could tell, those close-in WGA fares did disappear at 24 hours.
