And if the HHonors air award is with AA, you can earn miles on the flights and/or use paid upgrades. I even think the Hhonors AA air awards come out of a different seat inventory and may therefore be available when regular AAdvantage awards are not.
Also, using the Hhonors VIP-only awards that include air travel makes the point cost for the air portion even lower.
