WOW... what a useful insight! I learned so much from that contribution and it completely altered my day and thoughts about US Airways! I may never fly US Airways again as a result!!!
Back to the discussion, when you use contractors to provide goods or services, there are bound to be screw ups - it sounds like US is trying to minimize the problems as much as possible and are working hard to make service happen - it doesn't sound as much like an out and out service failure as it does US working overtime to minimize the effect on passengers... sounds like US is doing their best.
