If there is upgradeable inventory, I would say book the PS route.

Also, if you are worried, I would hedge your bet. For 70.00 you can book a o/w from JFK-PIT on DL leaves JFK @ 9:00pm and get you into PIT at 11:00. Buy the one way, if you need it you are set, if not just throw it away.
