Has there been some sort of announcement or move by DL to partially or wholly eliminate elite check in lines? I saw this thread:

where apparently they took away the line in AUS after moving the NW operation. Heard similar complaint from PHL. At my home in DFW the line is still posted but its essentially un-manned. The last time I tried to use it there was nobody at the counter and when I stood there an agent came over and basically told me to go use the kiosks. On the other hand I was at SAN last weekend and the line was manned by very friendly agents.

I regard the elite line as a fairly essential elite benefit. Is this feature going away?
