Hey all

Well I have been racking my brains over some possible situations, and hopefully you guys can help me out.

Last year (in December) on AC575/AC576 (Montreal-Las Vegas) I used my two SSWUs for 2008, and this past May (and June) I used my two SSWUs on AC870/AC871 (Montreal-Paris); I really had to stop myself from pulling a Homer and doing "Bed goes up, bed goes down, bed goes up,.."

Anyways, I have a spur of the moment trip coming up, to Vegas. In fact I am going with my brother, but because I waited so long, I have a different routing.

First question:
I am at present booked on AC797 to LAX (from Montreal), and then connecting to AC5204 to Vegas (which is really UA378). Now after reading the website (http://www.aircanada.com/en/travelin...stminutes.html) until my eyes bleed, is it safe to conclude that I will NOT be offered a LMUP when I do OLCI? When I go to the airport, could I ask for a LMUP solely for my LAX leg, or is it still not possible?

Second question:
As I mentioned, I am going with my brother, however two different routings. My brother and his entourage are taking AC575 (Vegas direct). I am contemplating about doing a sameday standby to shift my flight to their routing (for 50 CAD plus GST and QST [anything else?]). Now, say I did get to purchase an upgrade at OLCI for my YUL-LAX leg, if I inquire/request at the airport for that sameday standby and get it, would my LMUP transfer over as well, providing there is still space in J? - I know logically if you get the upgrade don't switch, but just wondering none the less.

Thanks guys, much appreciated
