I've decided to treat myself to something nice and being that I'm a gadget person I've decided to get a brand new smartphone. After much consideration I'm with an HTC Touch Pro 2.

Now my problem is the following one: I'm based out of Canada where that phone is not available through any carrier (and I want an unlocked one anyways).

However, I'll be going on a business trip through Asia, including Singapore, next week and I just might have a chance to buy it. Having never been in that part of the world before if that stuff is cheaper in Asia or not?

So, can I realistically find it cheaper in Singapore rather that through an importer here in Canada? For the record I've found it in the 800-900 $CAN range.
