You won't have a great seven hours, alas.
Ive slept in SMF twice in the past 8 months because of large bump vouchers being offered by CO. They also offered me a hotel but since I am usually on the red-eye and get re-booked to the 6 am flight its pointless and I just ask for a larger voucher, 4 blankets, and 3 pillows.

Its not great but not all that bad if they rebook you in F.
Note: Ive never had problems with police or other airport employees bothering me but then again I probably dont look like a homeless person.
