I have a trip on Saturday RDU-MEM-IAH-SAL, with only a 40 minute connection time in IAH. I'm coming into Terminal A (Northwest Connect) and leaving out of Terminal E (Continental).

How fast should I run? I rarely fly through IAH so I'm unfamiliar with how long it takes to get through it. Any tips?

My girlfriend will be taking RDU-IAH-SAL so she'll be waiting for me at the gate with plenty of time to spare. Would they listen to her if she told them I was on the ground and running through the airport?
