I previously started a new thread as I couldnt find this thread.

Last night our ship was changed to the LiveTV #413 because "we were so overbooked, we needed a plane that could haul more bags" according to the captain! After ~50 min delay due to the late change (like CO didnt know they needed to change an hour before takeoff??? The plane was in the hanger too) we heard the numerous announcements at the gate that LTV would be available for 6bucks-with free headphones handed out.

Upon boarding, the FA's did a good job of showing pax where the free headphones were (in a basket upon arrival) and making sure eveyone took a pair. I was in row 1, and heard one guy (seated in Y) tell his wife "take 2 also-that way we can stock up!)

LiveTV worked flawlessly from gate to gate! (OT, but why is it ok to have the airline system on, with my noise cnx headphones, but not MY IPOD on takeoff???) I dont remember takeoff as I was watching ESPN!!!

One major downside-all of the movies started at 6pm. We boarded ~635pm. The "rerun" on the movies was +1 1/2 hours away!!!!!!!!!

The channels ranged from Fox to CNN to ESPN to some kids stuff! (NOTE-history channels (2) were on ONE heading (entertainment IIRC) while Discovery was listed under the kids section, IIRC.....I personally would block both of those together!)

As someone who subscribes to Netflix, this system had NO VALUE to me. In fact I watched my own movies-filling in takeoff, landing and dinner with LiveTV. If it was free (as it was in F) I would watch it. If not, I would NOT pay $6 for it. I would MUCH prefer the AVOD then LiveTV. Actually-I even like regular movies (when they rotate twice a month) over the LiveTV.
