Hi RivieraTraveler,
Welcome to the BA forum!^
My opinions;
Crew: More consistent on BA than VS ( I have not had a bad crew on VS though)
Seat: BA is more comfortable for seating and reclining. VS wins for sleeping ( you also get PJ's on VS night flights)
IFE: Generally prefer the VS vport AVOD system on VS ( a lot more CD's to choose from with a wide variety of chocie ( less so on BA)
VS: Seat allocation at time of booking .On BA- unless you have status or a full fare you will need to wati to T-24 to choose seats
VS Clubhouse- Extremely good with attentive service and great facilites ( you can prebook treatments, go for a steam shower or spa pool). T5 Galleries Club- Good also but IMHO not as good as VS.
SFO- VS clubhouse is excellent ( you would only get access if leaving from SFO on a VS flight) with great staff and great food- I had a very nice steak and the cocktails are great. It is however landside but security is not a problem.
BA SFO lounge-limited sandwiches but it is airside and boarding from the lounge.
BA Lounge JFK-Pretty good with an Elemis spa and Pre flight dining for the sleeper services
Have not tried VS from JFK.
I do like the onboard bar on VS-stretch the legs and grab a snack and chat to the crew ususally.
Both BA CW and VS UC are very good products.
Regards
