Recent Update, British Colonial Hilton-Nassau
Recently stayed at this property (2.15-2.19.01). Great Property, on the west side of Nassau,Bahamas about 20 minutes from the airport ($20 cab ride). The hotel has it's own 150yards worth of beach looking accross to Paradise Island. a 1/2 mile away is where the cruise ships dock for Nassau, but that never bothered us. Staff verified my status and immediately upgraded to ocean view room. The people of the Bahamas are THE FRIENDLIEST of any island we've been to. The executive lounge serves breakfast and as a real bonus serves yummy eats from 5-7pm, booze is free from 5-10pm. It was nice to come back from dinner and have free drinks on the outside balcony of the executive lounge while overlooking Nassau. The hotel is well kept and very clean. Did not eat at the hotel, but the FAMOUS Graycliff restaurant is only 4 blocks away. Just accross the street is Conch Fritters a fun place with good/great food for breakfast, lunch, dinner.
